Linear Silence

This series is a study in direction, repetition, and stillness. Through parallel lines and vanishing points, these spaces unfold as silent corridors of thought — neither fully public nor entirely personal. Each photograph captures a moment between movement and pause, between origin and unknown destination. Whether a tunnel, a ferry corridor, or a bicycle lane beneath a canopy of trees, these images speak a language of balance and design. But underneath their symmetry lies something more tender: solitude, anticipation, and the invisible presence of those who have passed through. “Linear Silence” invites viewers not to arrive, but to remain — right there, in the middle of the line.

These images are not just about transportation — they are about what it means to move through time. A vintage car frozen mid-crossing over train tracks evokes a slower, heavier era, one where presence lingered. In contrast, the abandoned scooter under a harsh flash speaks of speed, disposability, and urban fatigue. Together, they chart a quiet timeline of mobility: how we used to travel with meaning, and how now we often arrive without memory. Technology changes, but the road remains — waiting for the next passenger to pass, pause, or disappear. “Vehicles of Time” is about more than motion. It’s about how movement defines an era — and how we leave traces, or don’t.
